Sharing is Caring
I have heard so many people say a Photo Journalist does thesame work with Photographer, even they do say no difference in their field of work. Is that true?
Now let us check out proofs below that prove them absolutely incorrect:
Now I want to give a good definition concerning the two.
Who is a Photo Journalist?A Photo journalist is a professional who uses tangible, sensible, meaningful, newsworthy photographs to tell a news story that will attract a large, heterogeneous, dispersed and anonymous audience. He captures the truth, he loves the truth and he looks for constant images to express the pain of the public in their day-to-day struggles to the government
Who is a Photographer? A Photographer is also a professional that focuses on the art of taking photographs with a digital or film camera. Photographers use artificial and/or natural lighting to snap pictures of various people, places and things in a variety of settings. Some photographers focus on studio work, while other explore the natural, outside world. He edits the pictures that will be of satisfaction to his clients.
I have just given a tip from their differences, now let me move to their main differences:
- Photo Journalists are professional photographers but not all Photographers are Photo Journalists: What I mean by that is, when it comes to the aspect of photography, a Photo Journalist can take photographs satisfactorily but when it comes to the aspect of Photo Journalism, a Photographer doesn’t have too much knowledge about it.
- A Photographer does not possess the professional or exceptional skills required to do the job of a Photo Journalist.
- A photographer takes pictures of places, people, and things for aesthetics only while a Photo Journalist shoots action events: This means a Photographer snaps pictures just to display its beauty while a Photo Journalism snaps the pictures to tell meaningful stories.
